Tasting Notes
This wine's aromas dance in a well choreographed explosion out of the glass. There is a great interplay of dominate characters of violets, blueberry, and cracked black pepper that come out strong, but there are these subtle background aromatics of caramel, strawberry, anise, and chocolate that fill in the gaps between the dominate characteristics. The palate has more blueberry and dark cherry laced with chocolate and spice. The tannins are sleek and yet wild at the same time, full on the palate while maintaining an elegance to the overall structure. The length of the finish and its characters of cherries, clove, caramel and allspice leave the taster wanting more.
